Getting Familiar with Simple Course Creator
This is a quick overview of how Simple Course Creator works in WordPress and what you can do with it.
As of v2.0.0, Simple Course Creator is a single plugin with no add-ons required. The three formerly separate plugins — Customizer, Post Meta, and Front Display — are now built in. There’s nothing extra to download or activate.
Customizer
The Simple Course Creator panel in Appearance > Customize lets you adjust colors, borders, padding, and font sizes for the course listing, post meta, and front display — without writing CSS. Settings are organized into three sections: Course Box, Post Meta, and Front Display.

Post Meta
Post Meta outputs the author name and publish date beneath each post title in the course listing. Toggle it on or off — and control each field independently — under Settings > Course Settings.

Front Display
Front Display outputs a course indicator beneath each post on the blog home, archive pages, and search results. Toggle it under Settings > Course Settings. The leading and trailing text are filterable in your theme’s functions.php.

Future Development
Simple Course Creator is a side project. It does not receive the attention of a premium plugin. That means development happens in random bursts between long periods of quiet.
Like all WordPress derivative work, it’s licensed under the GPL. Do with it what you will. If you need additional features or custom adjustments, you’re free to make them.
